Seriously SG, if you re going to do character studies or talk about specific films/TV programs, you MUST put a spoiler warning up. Not everyone has seen these programs, and do not want to be spoiled.

I'm really off my game today, don't know why though. Of course, I'm kinda bad with spoiler alerting in general. I'd put in spoiler warnings, but I probably can't edit my post now...can I (not that I'm blaming you)?

Doesn't say what spoilers. People might assume Heroes.

Read a book.
Your statement contradicts years of literary critisim and analysis summed up by the following:
Jude the Obscure is the daddy of all Emos.

I didn't read the entire thing, but I did read the book.
SPOILER Jude
And I couldn't get past the scene in the movie where David Tennant and Chris were on screen for the only time ever.
END SPOILER
And I don't think that you're suggesting I'm an idiot.
EDIT: I am not going to do this for all your posts. I have better things to do with my time.

It was a wicked book. I read it at university. And yes, he is text book definition.
SG, if you didn't read the entire thing, how can you say you read the book? You're contradicting yourself...

Like I said, I'm off my game today. Just don't why yet. And the disappointing thing, at least for me, about the Death and the Compass short story is
spoiler
there's no Red Scarlach disguising himself as mild-mannered, slightly geeky and accident prone but still adorable newspaper editor Alonso Zunz so no awesome twist ending like the movie.
*end of spoiler*
I've learned my lesson about spoilers.

Jude the Obscure is one of the great british novels, along with (in my opinion) everything Thomas hardy ever wrote. My love of Hardy is the singular reason I watched the (lacklustre) adaptation into the movie with eccleston, the only thing that save this adaptation in my opinion was his casting, and it is that reason alone I am a fan.
as with everything head the following advice.
READ THE BOOK FIRST.
whatever the movie, go out, buy the book, read the book, then watch the film, even if you have to wait for the DVD.
And if you haven't FINISHED Jude the Obscure go...now...read...
Peace. Said.
