So we could start Torchwood off where Gina suggested then?

Great that will make it a lot easier, we can put our heads together and figure something out now we know its not going to impact on anyone else.

Well, Ten and Rose's time line don't matter as such because they are time traveling. It could be any time. However, Saxon popped up in Torchwood towards the end, so we are looking at episode 12ish, before ep 13 (last epiosode?) to match with Saxon just getting into power.

But when Saxon got into power it was Maratha and 10 not Rose and 10 (wherever he lands he becomes part of events-fixed point in time) so Torchwood has to be well before. Christmas invasion he starts a whispering campaign against Harriet Jones- Saxon was in the government then (I think?) minister of defense or something, although the posters in Torchwood dont necessarily have to be for the election when he ended up as PM he must have been elected previously to get to be a minister and to do that must have had a party.

Well he arrived at the most, 18 months prior to the events of ep 12 and 13, so within those 18 months he'd be building power. He didn't gain power as PM till ep 12 series 3.

Yeah we can arrive any time. It's just for us that it's before Doomsday, so for Torchwood it could be any time at all.

But because the Master is in placem but before Ten and Martha show up, it means it is between episode 12 and 13. Or at least the second half of of the series.
edit: In series two of Doctor Who there was a reference to Saxon being up in the polls in the Doctor Lite episode, which if Torchwood and Dr Who ran parallel would mean quite late in the series he was high in opinion.

Jack did know about Saxon.
When they are talking about him in Martha's flat, Martha mentions that she liked Saxon, and Jack said he did too.

Only thing I could remember was Martha tapping but I didnt think Jack was.
At least the second half of the series, so what episode 7/8 onwards?
