I'd offer to switch over to a Heroes-verse character, but I'm not terribly stable with 'em. I'm trying to talk a friend into playing Peter, as she has some sort of fascination with him. *innocent* But I don't think that's going to pan out.

Yay! 2 Roses! 'Spose I'll have to brush up on season 1 now ... Also, I live in the US. Hopefully that won't put a damper on my participation, but I work during the days (which would be nights for you Brits ... six hours ahead, right?) and don't have access to a computer, so certain interactions may be delayed. That okay?

Here's the semi-original character. She's a very AU version of a character from novels.
Character Name: Oona Fandom: LOOSELY based Eternal Champion Novels (Michael Moorcock) (Oona is AU for the purposes of this game. Her abilities will be made to fit the game and to keep her limited to the place and time of the game.)
A Description of the Character: Appearance in story form: Her eyes are sharp rubies peering from a face of sculpted marble, and intelligence can be plainly seen in those red depths. Her hair is as a waterfall, white, flowing, cascading, only revealing her sharply pointed ears when she so chooses. She stands with the regal dignity of a noble making her average height seem taller. Like her father before her, she is albino. And by blood, she is indeed noble. A princess of a race long gone from the universe, though only by half.
Oona’s hair is left flowing free half the time, and the other half it is worn in a differing assortment of braids, from a single long plait, to an artful and elaborate arrangement of hundreds of tiny braids.
Personality and abilities: Oona tends to take a watch and wait attitude when it comes to discussions. However, she will speak up if she has anything to actually add. She has a sense of humor, but it is sardonic in nature.
At 25 Oona has studied magic since she was five years old. She is quite the scholar on the subject. She has practiced magic almost as long. But her ability is limited to only minor spells in the true, waking world, and a considerable influence on elemental entities. Her albinism makes her somewhat weak in actual magical power. She does not have enough magical energy in herself.
Oona’s magical abilities are as follows: Use of elemental magic, low level. Fire - She can start small fires, and hold fire in the palm of her hand. (This she can do beyond the five minute limit of commanding an elemental.) Water – She can summon rain or mist. She may also summon a water elemental (a human sized construct or spirit of water capable of striking with the force of someone hitting water from a fifteen foot fall) but only if there is a water source present. Earth – She can summon a golum, a earth elemental or spirit. She can also cause plants already there to grow quickly at maximum one years rate in two minutes. Air – She can summon wind.
All elementals can only be summoned for five minutes. Doing so weakens Oona considerably. In fact she would need help to even walk. And several hours of sleep as well as some nutrition will be needed to bring her back to ‘snuff’.
Oona can cast a language spell to understand any language.
Lastly, Oona can take the form of a small albino hare. The drawbacks here are that a hare is hardly a fearsome beast and is vulnerable to predators, although it maintains her sharp mind. Another consideration is that on transforming, her clothing drops to the ground and the hare wriggles out. When she regains her more human shape, she is naked. A situation she avoids if she can.
An excellent archer, Oona carries a bow and a quill of twenty arrows. She also wields a sword.
Oona walks the moon paths between worlds and tries to maintain a balance between Law and Chaos. Oona can travel through time, and realities (planes of the Multiverse) via the moon paths. But once she is in a new place she must stay there until she has done something considerable to maintain Balance in that time or place by her own volition. She can travel via someone else’s power, but not her own until her task is done. (This limits her to the time and setting of the game so she cannot just pop in and out or ‘teleport’ during the game. Only at the start and end to arrive and leave.)
Oona is comfortable in many time periods, including a sci-fi world. Her purpose in whatever setting she is in would be to maintain Balance, keeping absolute Law, and absolute Chaos from taking hold on any world.

oooh sounds intereting purplerhino. i'm getting excited. the idea i had for plot was basically similar to slayerfest (not sure if you are familiar with it.) the idea is that people who are, if you like rarities (so the doctor, jack and the folk from heroes) have been captured and are being hunted down. im kind of leaving it open to your imaginations to solve the problem and get away. hope you join up! edit: in regards to time difference, thats a good thing. i was hoping to get some folk from the US to play, so we could have some gameplay through the night. that way us UK folk can come back and find the plot unravelling. the only downside to this is the slow delay if your character is with a uk controlled character. the way round this problem is if you are planning to use the uk character in some way, just use them as a drone whilst the owners not there (please asl permission first for major life changing stuff!)

I just noticed that the role play starts at 7:30 Brit time... that's around 3:30 pm for me, and I'm still at work... so posts may be sporadic... or occur when I get home. Just FYI.

to worries. i did it like that so we'd get a staggered start and also so we wouldn't blow the forum with activity (not that that shouldhappen cos we'e only got 10 players...). because of the nature of the game, days can go by with no one posting anything, and we can still pick up where we leave off. not that i want folk to leave days cos that would be boring!

Hi - new to forum!
If we're bringing in Heroes (which would be smashin) I'd like to bagsee Peter Petrelli please !! Or if we're following strict sex conventions Niki/Jessica Saunders
If we're going for Who only... bagsee ....ooo this is hard. I want to say Sally Sparrow but I think it's going to have to be Sarah Jane!

I have discovered that I will not have time to participate in the role play. You'll have to search for a new nine. Sorry.
