this is my interpretation of the challenge i set in the general board.
9th doctor and rose,no jack, cute furry animals, and the line, "are you numb chuck?"
here goes! i dont do funny very well!
Title - Awwwwwwww!
“I can’t feel my fingers…” the doctor wined.
Rose had wanted ice cream, and he had a tub of it in the freezer somewhere, but unfortunately the inside of this chest freezer was much the same as the interior of the TARDIS; bigger on the inside. He made a big show of getting his head right in there, almost falling in, desperate to make her laugh. It had worked, and now she was in fits of hysterics. She took his hands in hers and rubbed them warm.
“Awwww, are you numb chuck?” she asked, before succumbing to another fit of giggles.
He laughed, “I thought I was the northern one!” He grinned at her.
“You know, just trying it out.” She winked at him.
“So you feeling better?”
“No.” she made a babyish face and said it in a babyish voice, which indicated to him that she was feeling better, but was just playing it further.
“Right then, I know the best thing for miserable cusses.” He jumped up, grabbing her hand, and dragging her out of her chair and down the corridor to the control room. He made a few adjustments to the course and the TARDIS landed.
“You wait there.”
She flumped into the beaten, whitish chair and waited. For nearly an hour. She was getting increasingly grumpy and was tempted to go after him, when he backed slowly through the door. He had grass stuck in his hair, and as he turned to her, he noticed a small scratch down his face. He looked like he had been dragged through a hedge backwards!
“Here you are!” he half walked half skipped over to her, and came to a halt just in front of where she sat, showing her for the first time what he was carrying, and wearing an excited grin on his face.
“Awwwwwwwwwwwww!” she squealed it this time. Very high pitched! “It’s a bunny!” she shrieked.
The little brown bunny lifted its head and looked at her.
“It’s so cute! Where did you get it?”
“Well, he was just sat outside waiting for me.” He grinned at her, “he was desperate for a good home, and I read somewhere that stroking cute furry animals made sick people feel better.”
Her whole face lit up. It was possibly the kindest gesture anyone had ever done for her.
“Just waiting outside for you?” she giggled slightly, taking in his roughed up appearance, and his length of absence.
“That’s right.” He lied.
“You were dragged through a hedge backwards weren’t you?” She accused in a mocking tone.
“No.” his eyes twinkled, “ I went through the hedge forwards, and I wasn’t dragged!”
