It's rubbish Apologies in advance.
“It’s locked.”
“Don’t be daft Rose, just pull.”
“Doctor, I’m telling you, it’s locked, it’s not budging.”
He came up behind her and pulled on the door himself. “Oh.”
“Oh? What’s ‘Oh’ supposed to mean?”
“I may have upset the door controls while I was fixing the TARDIS earlier.”
Rose crossed her arms. “May have?”
“It might just be a malfunction.” He defended himself.
“Yeah, and I’m Cleopatra.”
The doctor looked her over, “Nah, too tall.” He grinned.
“So how long is this going to take to fix?”
“A few hours, maybe a day.”
“A day!”
“Maybe.”
“As in maybe more?”
“Maybe.”
Rose shook her head. “So what am I supposed to do until it’s fixed?”
“You could explore. There’s probably lots of rooms you haven’t found yet.”
“Like what?”
“Go and find out,” he told her, before sliding under the console.
Rose wandered around opening doors here and there. Most she had been in before. Then she came across one she hadn’t been in before. It looked like a workshop.
She poked around it, looking at everything. Most of the tools looked like human ones. A vice, screwdrivers, various saws and drills, a soldering iron.
She began opening draws in the work bench and pulled a book out. A smile spread across her face. Now this was a way to kill a dull afternoon!
Rose didn’t see the doctor again until the next day. He looked to be exactly where she’s left him.
“Fixed it?” she asked.
“No. Nearly done.”
“Well I can get us out anyway.”
He poked his head out. “How?”
She produced a can opener. “I soniced it up doctor, it will now open metal, wood, plastic, stone and most other things.”
“What? You did that?”
“Yes. I just followed your Sonic for Idiots book.” She grinned. “If I’d known it was so easy I’d have done it ages ago.”
“It wont work.” He told her.
“Wanna bet?” she went to the door and the tin opened hummed.
“That’s the wrong hole.” The doctor told her.
“No it isn’t. You’re just upset that I can get us out of places now, too.”
“Am not.”
“Are too.” The door popped open. “YES!” she screeched, running outside.
The doctor shook his head. A tin opener? He’d put that in there to be used as scrap. Why would anyone sonic a tin opener?
