Just noticed that my screensaver tells me that the time to new who has gone down to days (23 to be precise). It's kind of weird I reckon cos I'm approaching it with a sort of nervousness... I've always been a who fan and was soooo surprised that it came back so good. Problem is I'm now worried that there is no way DT is gonna be as good as CE so am I going to be disappointed. p.s. my b/f says I'm sad

kick yout b/f in the balls...
i must say im slightly worried. i have yet to see the CiN thing, but reports have said that his accent reminds them of dick van dykes mockney accent, which can not be a good thing. i hope it all works out. but im sure he'll do fine. secret smile is on i think the 15th, so we will get an idea of what hes like in a more serious role. i do hope they delve into the doctors past a bit more. ive said it before that they should have used CE's talent to do angst and look at the time war in more detail. it would be a shame if DT couldnt pull it off cos then we may never know...
my birthday tomorrow, and guess what i asked for! fingers crossed!

Well DT is doing a drama before then so maybe we'll get an idea of how he'll do as Dr10 from that. Personally I found him deeply annoying on the CIN thing (so did my sister-in-law) and I now realise it's not just cos I'm an Eccles girl. However I was born a Who fan and I'll probably die a Who fan so I'm going to have to watch it before I just dismiss DT. Anyway Billie is shaping up rather nicely. BTW I started a birthday thread.

I made the mistake of watching a bit of the live Quatermass repeat a while back, it seemed like a good idea, I really wish I hadn`t -blank was not the word! Ive heard Blackpool was good, but I get irritated with anything shot here-find myself shouting at the screen things like-"no its not its Fleetwood" "why are they in Lytham?" and getting dizzy watching where they are when theyre on a tram-its aways um how shall I put it? odd. I go back with the Doctor a long way, I have an inbuilt fondness for Pat Traughton but only vaguely remember black and white images of him really started with Jon Pertwee, through Tom Baker never got the hang of Peter Davison and Colin B. kept changing my mind about ? McGann -sorry cant remember his first name- was just getting to like S. McCoy and it did an oozlam bird impression and that as they say.. The new Doctor who was the first thing for a long time I can honestly say managed to live up to the hype(that doesnt happen very often) My one nagging worry is the timing of Billies announcement bothers me,(if it was hers) why generate all this interest for other work before anyone has seen any of the new series?surely the `im available` flag is better hoisted at least after the Christmas Invasion or during the series run? a little voice keeps nagging at the back of my head -she`s seen what we havn`t. Please let me be wrong I don`t want to see it die annother death, its part of my history I`m attached to it

I liked Blackpool. I also liked Cassanova. I did not like the CIN sketch. At least I didn't like DT in it. I think he's seen too many Colin Baker eps. Can I also remind people there was a show I used to love and TPTB started monkeying about with it during the second season (yeah I'm aware that most people think the New Who series counts as the 20something season rather than the second but I'm not one of them) They killed the show I loved.....ran it into the ground for reasons I still can't fathom to this day. One by one the fans switched off. It became an embarrassment. Worried? Absolutely.

im slightly worried...i ve seen the CiN thing now and found DT terribly annoying. its not that i dislike him. i saw secret smile and thought he was brilliant... i just couldnt help but feel that he was over acting in the dr who sketch which made it feel far too fake. i like the fact he wants to give him energy, but that was something else. it was almost like he was playing it up for the kids... and its not a kiddies program, its a family program. maybe he'll calm down in the rest of the series. fingers crossed.
can i ask... what announcement has billie made? i thought the rumours she was leaving had been denied by her and the bbc... or has that all changed now?
jeepers... i go away for two weeks and the whole world falls apart.

she'll probly stay for a while until they kill 'er off or something. well actually, that might be too angsty. it would be much easier if she just realised she didn't want to travel anymore. (this is the stroy line I'm talkign about. I don't think they'd kill off billie piper to get her to leave)

no they wont. nore could i see rose wanting to leave, and RTD said he knew how he'd write her out. i thought perhaps she might merge with the TARDIS or something... that way you can get rid of the actor... but Rose never goes.

Last thing I heard they were testing for a replacement and sulking, as far as I know thats the same, not heard any denials or anything else come to that. In the commentry on DVD (only just got around to listening to this) someone mentions something about Mickey being a companion, don`t know if thats changed or not now, presume this would have been voiced well before anything was said about Billie leaving(allegedly). As usual with these things you read between any lines given and then spin around twice with fingers in ears, disorientation is the name of the game. I have problems with DT, every time his face appears its got one of three expressions on it, and they all annoy me-too fake, sorry. Saw secret smile enjoyed it but suddenly realised I hadn`t noticed when he wasnt there, when he did it was oh! I forgot about him, got involved with the other characters but somehow never connected with his-perhaps its down to personal preference, which reminds me..can anyone remember a Doctor with dark eyes? could be my memory but Im sure they all had light coloured eyes.

dunno....
hummmmm... im definatly sure that no ones confirmed these rumours about billie yet. when chris left the BBC released a statement, i would have thought they would have done this again if she was definatly leaving. i was also under the impression that just before the series started filming they said that they had signed her for an entire series, despite rumours that she would leave. i think its just rumours again, and im not even going to think about rose leaving untill someone official gives us some kind of report.

do you know whats a real pain? I'll tell you! according to my absolutely useless tv guide, the christmas invasion isn't on on christmas day! I just hope that they'll put it on at all otherwise I'll have to save money for the dvd. *pouts* I happen to really like david tennant. snot fair.

ooh gossip! save a tree-gossip on line! I think either Aunty Beebs press office or just the press in general is stuck in a time warp of its own, apparently Billie is giving advice on romance to DT ! now where have I heard that cenario before?

ive heard that before. "we arent having an affair! i was just teaching him some new moves...." yeah, sure you are. im only kidding of course. tennants got himself a girlfriend and he seems like a nice guy, and as a rule nice guys dont cheat.
you know i still odnt feel totally comfortable using the first name thing like we do wot chris. i dont fel i know him well enough yet...
